Who may enroll in the Parents as Teachers program?

All qualifying families living within the West Aurora school district with children age prenatal to three years old.

Cost: Free

Services provided:

1. Personalized home visits with certified Parent Educator.
2. Group Connections with other parents held at Todd school and other community  locations.
3. Bi-annual developmental, health, vision and hearing screening.
4. Resource network.

Please note that while we do currently have a waiting list for the personal home visitation portion of our program, enrolling in PAT will give you access to the other services listed above.  Also, there are several agencies in the Aurora community who provide home visitation who we can connect you with if you would like to start immediately with home visits. Otherwise, when your family comes to the top of the waiting list and a parent educator has a space available, she will contact you to set up your first visit together.  Unfortunately, we are unable to predict how long a family may be waiting for a parent educator to be assigned to you, but hope you take advantage of our group connections, and bi-annual screenings.  If you have further questions about the program, or a child development question, please contact Therese Conlin, the Parents as Teachers Coordinator at (630)301-5371 or tconlin@sd129.org

We look forward to having your family in our program!
