Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy mentors

The Buddy Program at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy has experienced mentors available to work with students with cognitive disabilities on homework and social skills!

Each student in the program will be paired with a mentor, who is a current student at IMSA. These hand-picked mentors have to complete hours of training on different aspects of teaching. Recognizing that each student is different, the mentors will strive to meet each child's needs. The mentors and students will meet once a week at IMSA facilities.
